Abstract:We consider a class of monomial weights $x^{A}=\vert x_{1}\vert^{a_{1}}\ldots\vert x_{N}\vert^{a_{N}}$ in $\mathbb{R}^{N}$, where $a_{i}$ is a nonnegative real number for each $i\in\{1,\ldots,N\}$, and we establish the $\varepsilon-\varepsilon$ property and the boundedness of isoperimetric sets with different monomial weights for the perimeter and volume. Moreover, we present cases of nonexistence of the isoperimetric inequality when it is not possible to associate the corresponding Sobolev inequality. Finall… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
