Abstract:Accurate branching ratios of the H-abstraction reactions from dimethylamine (DMA) by OH radicals are important in understanding the atmospheric fate of DMA. In this work, the reaction kinetics of the water-free, water-assisted, and self-assisted H-abstraction reactions between DMA and OH radicals are accurately determined using the multipath canonical variational theory with the small-curvature tunneling correction, to explore the catalytic effects of the reactant (DMA) and product (water). To choose a suitabl… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
