Theoretical justification of Ventcel's boundary conditions for a thin layer three-dimensional thermoelasticity problem

Abstract: In this paper, we consider a model of linear thermoelasticity for an elastic threedimensional body with high thermal conductivity covered by a thin layer on one of its faces. We show that Ventcel's boundary conditions may be obtained, as the thickness of the rigid body goes to zero.
