Abstract:The piezophototronic effect is a new scientific area that investigates the synergistic interactions of piezoelectric, semiconductor, and photoexcitation features. This effect is seen in crystals lacking inversion symmetry, where applied strain alters electronic transport and provides a way to modify material properties.
