Abstract:In this paper, the third-order nonlinear optical susceptibilities were carried out in InxGa1−xN/GaN cylindrical core–shell quantum dots by solving the three-dimensional Schrödinger equation in cylindrical coordinates. Using the effective mass envelope-function approximation, the electronic wave functions were evaluated. We have investigated the effect of the core and shell radii thicknesses on the energies as well as on the third-order nonlinear susceptibilities. Our results reveal that the susceptibility peak… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
