Therapeutic effect of recombinant tissue plasminogen activator on acute cerebral infarction at different times

Abstract: BACKGROUND:The study aimed to compare the therapeutic effect of recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA) on the onset of acute cerebral infarction (ACI) at different time points of the first 6 hours.METHODS:A retrospective analysis was conducted in 74 patients who received rt-PA thrombolysis treatment within 4.5 hours after ACI and another 15 patients who received rt-PA thrombolysis treatment between 4.5–6 hours after ACI.RESULTS:National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) scores were statistical… Show more

“…2 Various mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of atherothrombotic stroke include atherosclerotic processes and thrombophilic conditions, which may be linked to L-arginine-nitric oxide (NO) pathway. 3 Endothelial-derived NO, a potent vasodilator, has been reported to play a role as an endogenous anti-atherosclerotic molecule 4 and was synthesized from L-arginine by a family NO synthase.…”

“…The rabbits in the rt-PA group received thrombolysis with a dose of 0.9 mg/kg injected intravenously. 16 Recanalization of the embolism following thrombolysis was observed with a 2 MHz ultrasonic probe. The thrombolysis in brain ischemia (TIBI) classification for residual blood flow following cerebral ischemia was used to evaluate the degree of vascular recanalization.…”

“…Currently, directional catheter drainage is thought to have positive clinical effects. [3,18] Especially, directional tube insertion under CT [19][20][21] greatly reduces hematoma and iatrogenic damage, which can be proved by DTI imaging. [22][23][24][25][26][27] Small bone window craniotomy surgery under an operation microscope can timely and effectively remove the brain compression and relieve high intracranial pressure.…”
