Abstract:Background/Objectives: Due to a narrow therapeutic window, side-effects, toxicities, and individual pharmacokinetics (PK) variability, WHO classifies vancomycin (VCM) as a “watch antibiotic” whose use should be monitored to improve clinical effectiveness.
