Thermal analysis of greenhouses installed under semi arid climate

Abstract: The greenhouse design as well as the cover material properties in particular may strongly impact the greenhouse energy. To study the effect of these parameters, three typical unheated greenhouses equipped with rows of canopy were considered. Experiments were launched to establish the boundary conditions and validate the model. Two parametric studies were carried out: for the nocturnal period when the energy performance of each type of greenhouse was investigated, and for the diurnal period, when the sun path w… Show more

“…CFD modeling and simulation offer fast numerical solutions to real or prospective scenarios considering structural modifications in the case of buildings. Being a computer-aided simulation tool, CFD has also become a tool to design and optimize greenhouse ventilation systems [14][15][16][17]. The use of CFD has contributed to the optimization of greenhouse ventilation systems in countries such as Spain [15,18], Italy [19], China [20,21] and Mexico [22].…”

“…It was reported that OP can be released from sediments and utilized by algae [30]. Moreover, OP in soil can be hydrolyzed by phosphatase and then used by the rhizosphere of plants [31,32]. Thus high content of OP in sludge may play an important role in P recycle when land application of sludge as P fertilizer is taken into consideration.…”
