Thermal and Microbicidal Study of Coordination Polymers: Transition Metal with 8HQMIT Ligand

Abstract: A few coordination polymers of transition metal, Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II), obtained from the reaction of metal acetate with newly synthesized bis-indol contains ligand namely, 3,6-bis(1-((8-hydroxyquinolin-5-yl)methyl)-1H-indol-3-yl)-1,2,4-triazin-5(2H)-one (8HQMIT) are described here. The ligand has been characterized by 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR, IR, and FAB mass spectra. Elemental analysis, infrared and electronic reflectance spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurements, and thermogravimetry have… Show more

“…Finally, as shown in Figure 7, the crystal 1 shows two bands at 387 and 645 nm, which may be attributed to the 3 A 2g (F) → 3 T 1g (P) and 3 A 2g (F) → 3 T 1g (F) electronic transitions, respectively; this indicates an octahedral geometry around the Ni(II) center [98,99,100]. These transitions are consistent with the crystal structure of 1 .…”
