Thermal conditions during neonatal anoxia affect the endogenous level of brain‐derived neurotrophic factor

Abstract: Anoxia during delivery is a complication that can disturb infant brain development leading to various types of neurological disorders. Our studies have shown that increased body temperature of newborn rats of both sexes intensifies the postanoxic oxidative stress and prevents triggering the endogenous adaptive response such as HIF-1α activation.
