Abstract

The oxidation of CO on a Pd supported catalyst was investigated in a differential reactor. The catalyst consisted of a homogeneous distribution of Pd crystallites (0 =8 -10 nm) within a zeolite matrix (Faujasite type X). Depending on the temperature of the reactor and the CO concentration in the feed gas bistable, periodic and chaotic behaviour of the temperature of the catalyst bed could be observed.
