Thermochemical investigations on arylethenes: II. Heats of combustion of some para and orthotolylethenes and phenylbutadienes

Abstract: The preparation and purification of some para and orthotolylethenes and phenylbutadienes are described briefly. The results of the measurements of heats of combustion, listed in this paper, led to the following values for the enthalpies -AH,, referring to the reactions:at 25°C and 1 atm.
