Thermochemistry E 3000 Thermochemistry of Some Binary Alloys of Copper with the Lanthanide Metals by High-Temperature Direct Synthesis Calorimetry. -The standard enthalpies of formation of Cu2Ln (Ln: Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm) and Cu5Ln (Ln: Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Lu) are measured by high-temperature direct synthesis calorimetry at 1373 K. The results provide a systematic picture of the enthalpies of formation of Cu-lanthanide alloys in their dependence on the atomic number of the lanthanide element. -(MESCHEL*, S. V.; KLEPPA, O.
