Thermodynamic Equilibrium‐Nonequilibrium Competition in Nanofilaments for Achieving Complementary Electronic Synapses

Abstract: In the human brain, the natural complementary behaviors of synapse connections, which are enhanced and weakened through the participation of astrocytes and microglias, play an important role in the process of training and memory. Even though memristors based on the electrochemical metallization mechanism (ECM) have great potential in realizing electronic synapses (e‐synapses), the lack of complementary ECM e‐synapses has, to a certain extent, hindered the construction of artificial neural networks. In this stu… Show more

“…Ag/Al 2 O 3 NP:Polyimide/Al and Ag/Al 2 O 3 NP:Water/Al Devices : An Al 2 O 3 NP layer was formed on a cleaned glass substrate by using the in situ oxidation process. , Subsequently, a polyamide acid layer was formed by spin-coating, followed by thermal treatment (350 °C for 1 h). Then, the patterned Al and Ag electrodes were fabricated on the Al 2 O 3 NP/polyimide layer by using thermal evaporation with a shadow mask.…”
