Abstract:If the thermodynamic activity of the components in a binary metallic system A-B, which contains intermetallic compounds (A m B or AB l , where m, l = 1, 2, 3, …), is calculated on the basis of ideal associated solutions, reasonable accuracy may be obtained by means of the assumption that the chemical composition and thermodynamic properties of the associates are the same as for the intermetallic compounds.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
