Abstract:A\ curate data on the liquid density of a compound are a necessary prerequisite to the calculation of its thermodynamic properties. This paper covers in detail the results obtained in the measurement of the liquid densities of CHC1F2, CHC12F, CCI3F, and CC12F-CC1F2. It also includes the data obtained in the determination of the rectilinear diameters and critical constants of the four compounds.
“…The saturated liquid density of trifluoromethane was determined from 370" to 538"R. by the method describcd by Benning and McHarness (4). The technique employed in the measurement mas to find the temperature a t which the dcnsity of the saturated liquid matched that of a precalibrated density float.…”

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
