“…The first proposed design was called as the single system since it only includes a microturbine to generate power in the designed small‐scale LNG cold‐utilized power generation system . To improve the thermodynamic performance, a Stirling engine was integrated between the LNG vaporizer and waste heat of microturbine in the second system; hereby, the second system was called as the combined system . After that, the LNG vaporizer was considered as the heat sink to cool down the compressor inlet air in the third system; therefore, it was called as the LNG cold‐utilized inlet air‐cooled system.…”

“…The nitrogen is circulated in the cold thermofluid loop whereas the special heat transfer fluid, XCELTHERM MK1, is used in the hot thermofluid loop. By means of the heat transfer fluid usage in the hot thermofluid loop, the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of hot heat exchanger becomes smaller since the heat transfer fluid has high calorific thermophysical properties . The smaller temperature difference makes the wall temperature of hot heat exchanger more uniform, which is a significant parameter for the effective operation of the Stirling engine in the applied engineering works.…”
