“…One can see that the temperature dependence of the resistivity for the four samples is similar: The resistivities show basically metallic-like (i.e., dr/dT > 0) behavior in the whole temperature range measured. The observed anomaly in the r-T curve between 263 and 233 K is associated with the structural transition from b to a/a 0 -phase [16,25]. Present result indicates that Fe doping cannot prohibit b / a/a 0 phase transition.…”

“…The positive values of the Seebeck coefficient of the samples mean that the major charge carriers in all the samples are holes. It can be seen clearly that the Seebeck coefficient of all the samples is similar: it decreases with decreasing temperature, but increases abruptly at 250 K and then continues to decrease with further decreasing temperature, leaving a maximum at w230 K, which can reasonably be ascribed to the b / a/a 0 phase transition [16,25]. In addition, one finds that Seebeck coefficient of the lightly doped samples S2 # and S3 # increases monotonically.…”

“…[3,11] However, they are lower than those reported by other authors based on different types of data. [21,22,23] When the samples are heated to 625 K and then cooled to room temperature, the unit cell parameters increase monotonously. After three heating cycles to 625 K, the increase in the room temperature unit cell parameters levels off.…”

“…They have claimed that the solubility limit of Cd is so small as about 2%. After that, Nakamoto et al have reported the thermoelectric and structural properties of the Cd-substitution system prepared by a rapid-quenching method [8]. Larger solubility of Cd was concluded to be as much as 20%.…”
