Abstract:Thermoelectric transport in epitaxial graphene formed on the surface of size quantized metal and semiconductor films is studied within a simple analytical model. The conductivity and thermopower of epi taxial graphene are studied. It is shown that such a system exhibits conductivity kinks and thermopower peaks (several times higher than in the case of isolated graphene). A comparison with cases of two dimensional and three dimensional substrates is performed.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
