“…TLDs have been successfully used to investigate incidental testicular doses in prostate cancer patients treated with intensity‐modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), rectal carcinoma patients, and patients with head and neck cancer. [ 6–8 ] The wide application of TLDs in personal, environmental, and medical dosimetry is because it works for any type of radiation including, α‐radiation, γ‐rays, X‐rays, β‐rays, neutrons, and highly energetic beam particles.
