The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of STEM-based Think Pair Share (TPS) model on students' 21st century thinking skills in Indonesia. This type of research is meta-analysis research. The sources in the meta-analysis came from 15 national and international journals published in 2021-2024. The inclusion criteria in the research are that the research must be indexed by SINTA, Scopus and Web of Science, the research must be experimental or quasi-experimental related to the STEM-based Think Pair Share (TPS) model on students' 21st century thinking skills; Research data obtained through google scholar, Mendeley, Sciencedirect and ERIC, Research must be open access, and research must have complete data to calculate the effect size value. The sampling technique is purposive samling. Data analysis in this study is quantitative statistical analysis by calculating the effect size value with the help of the OpenMEE application. The results concluded that the STEM-based Think Pair Share (TPS) model had a significant effect on students' 21st century thinking skills in Indonesia with a high influence category with an average effect size value (ES = 0.952). This finding provides important information for teachers in implementing this model to encourage students' 21st century thinking skills in Indonesia.

This paper attempts to study basic teaching techniques that contribute to the development of the learner-centred approach in the classroom of modern schools. More specifically, the purpose of this paper is to develop seven teaching techniques - brainstorming, concept maps, working groups, role-playing, problem-solving, debate, De Bono's Six Thinking Hats - that contribute effectively to teaching and learning through the development of a learner-centred approach. The choice of this topic arose from the fact that the above teaching techniques are interesting and original educational tools since they place the learner at the centre of the educational process and in this way the intended learning outcomes are achieved after the end of the teaching. This paper is based on the literature review of about 180 researches and studies both in Greek and International level through the search of databases and search engines such as ERIC, Google Scholar, etc. Finally, it is worth noting that this paper aims to provide a useful guide for teachers to utilize these teaching techniques in the classroom since when these innovative teaching techniques are applied in the context of the learner-centred approach they have significant advantages such as focusing on students' needs, making the lesson more engaging, enhancing students' self-confidence and collaborative skills, etc. Article visualizations:<img src="/-counters-/soc/0095/a.php" alt="Hit counter" />

The ability to think critically is an important skill today, especially in facing the era of development of knowledge and technology in the 21st century. With this ability, students can analyze the truth of information both heard and read. However, this skill is still in a low level category so efforts are needed to improve it. One effort is to use innovative learning methods that can improve students' critical skills, namely the debate method. The aim of this research is to evaluate the level of critical thinking skills of BSA Study Program students, test the effectiveness of the debate, and provide academic suggestions for study programs and lecturers to improve the quality of learning that focuses on developing BSA students' critical thinking skills. This research method uses an experimental method. The subject of this research is the BSA Study Program, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. This research data consists of two things, namely students' skills during debate and students' critical thinking abilities which were tested through tests. This research concludes that the debate method is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills and students' ability to build arguments, which can be achieved through structured and theory-based exercises. These findings can be widely used to train students' critical thinking skills and as a learning strategy in class by lecturers.
