“…By measuring the distance between glacier and markers surrounding the glacier, it had been found that the glacier terminal retreating ratio was 7-10 m/a from 1994 to 2001 [11]. In this work, the digitized topographical map derived from aerial photographs taken in 1974 and the glacier terminal position data measured with differential GPS data were imported to ArcGIS, and the length of Kangwure Glaciers in the Tibetan Plateau have been retreating during the past few decades resulting from global warming [19,27,28].
