L ook at the November 2021 issue of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine (PCCM): it's going from strength to strength. In the articles that I am not highlighting, we publish on topics such as access and organization of PICU-related healthcare, mechanical ventilation, dexmedetomidine dosing, neurologic deterioration and sequelae, sleep disruption and delirium, and even the endothelial glycocalyx. Everything from our authors and editorialists are useful reads. However, because I can choose only three articles as Editor's Choices, I want to draw your attention to the following: PICU follow-up clinics (1); outcomes of children with firearm injuries admitted to the PICU in the US (2); and, transcutaneous diaphragm electromyography (dEMG) in infants around the time of endotracheal extubation (3). All three articles and their accompanying editorials (4-6) will be freely available for the next few months.
