Thoracic empyema due to nontuberculous mycobacteria in an immunocompetent patient without pulmonary disease: a case report

Abstract: Background Pleural involvement by non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM), especially NTM empyema in the immunocompetent patient without pulmonary diseases is a rare disease.
