Abstract: Thoracolumbar fractures in the elderly are frequently associated with osteoporosis. Osteoporosis can cause fractures or be a significant comorbidity in traumatic fractures. The OF classification is based on conventional X‑ray, computed tomography (CT) scan and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
