“…However, when the two-body interaction is strong enough, i.e., the two-fermion interactions reside at the s-wave or p-wave unitary limit, the power law of the recombination becomes modified because there is a modified centrifugal barrier asymptotically. In particular, the asymptotic l e value of the lowest 3-body contin-uum channel changes at unitarity, in a remnant of the Efimov effect [22,25]. Fig.…”

“…The present letter predicts the existence of one pwave universal trimer state for two-component equal mass (m ↑ = m ↓ ) fermionic trimers having the s-wave scattering length approaching infinity between spin-up and spin-down fermions and having the p-wave scattering volume (V p ) at the unitary limit, for the symmetry L Π = 1 − . Evidence for the universality of this trimer state has emerged from our tests of different s-and/or pwave poles of two-body Lennard-Jones potentials, in addition to various other two-body potentials, e.g., Gaussian or Gaussian-type potentials [22,25]. The peak of the three-body recombination rate indicates the point where the trimer state becomes bound.…”
