“…The alloy undergoes a standard heat treatment: solution treatment at 968 °C (1 h, oil quenching) followed by two-step ageing at 788 °C (8 h, furnace-cooled) and 704 °C (8h, air-cooled). The resulting microstructure consists of a γ matrix (Ni-based solid solution) strengthened with spherical γ’-Ni 3 (Al, Ti, Nb) precipitates and plate-like η-Ni 6 AlNb precipitates formed mainly at grain boundaries [ 19 , 20 , 21 , 22 , 23 ].
