Three-dimensional cooperative interception guidance law with impact time constraint

Abstract: This article proposes a new terminal cooperative guidance law with impact time constraint in three-dimensional (3D) engagement. Two parts are comprised by this guidance scheme to control the impact time and fulfill the interception. The guidance law along the line-of-sight (LOS) direction is first designed based on finite time consensus protocol to share time-to-go values among missiles and reach the consensus. Meanwhile, the guidance law on the LOS normal direction is developed based on the fast finite time c… Show more

“…Based on this proportional guidance method, the estimation of the time-to-go for UAV is given by 5 b t go ¼ RðtÞ V ðtÞ 1 þ σ 2 ðtÞ 2ð2N À 1Þ (7) where RðtÞ represents the distance between the current position and the target. The types of time coordination in the terminal guidance phase could be salvo attack at T c , that is, T go, i ¼ T c , i 2 ½1, n, or the impact time of each UAV can be set with a unique time delay ΔT i , that is, T go, i ¼ T c þ ΔT i , where T go, i is the given impact time of the i-th UAV.…”

“…Against stationary target, authors in [8] designed a consensus scheme of impact time by accounting for the communication noise over the multi-interceptor interaction network. Some studies have also extended the two-dimensional cooperative target capture paradigm for three-dimensional engagements [7,9,10,15,20,[29][30][31].…”
