Three Lanthanide Metal‐Organic Frameworks Based on an Ether‐Decorated Polycarboxylic Acid Linker: Luminescence Modulation, CO2 Capture and Conversion Properties

Abstract: Three new isostructural 3D lanthanide metal-organic frameworks (Ln-MOFs), {H[LnL(H 2 O)]·2 H 2 O} n (1-Ln) (Ln = Eu 3 + ,G d 3 + and Tb 3 + ), based on infinite lanthanide-carboxylate chains were constructed by employing an etherseparated 5,5'-oxydiisophthalic acid (H 4 L) ligand under solvothermal reaction. 1-Eu and 1-Tb exhibit strong red and green emission, respectively,t hrough the antenna effect, as demonstrated through ac ombinationo fc alculation and ex-perimental results. Moreover, aseries of dichromati… Show more

“…To assess the maneuvering performance, yields of the reactions using 0.50 and 0.031 mol % of the catalysts were additionally determined using mesitylene as the internal standard (entry 6 and 19), disclosing the satisfying values of >80% for Ib and >74% for IIb (Figures S11–S14). Compared with the other CPs/MOFs used in the reactions conducted under ambient CO 2 pressure and solvent-free condition (Table S7), , the TONs and TOFs reported here are worth noting as they are among the top-tier. In general, a long reaction time was required if complete conversion and high TONs were to be achieved, which on the other hand would aggravate the corresponding TOFs.…”

“…With the development of science and technology and the continuous improvement of human living standards, people‘s demand for clean energy is increasing day by day. CO 2 utilization can not only reduce global climate‐warming gas emissions but also convert CO 2 into high value‐added chemical products (such as CH 4 , [1] CH 3 OH, [2] HCOOH, [3] dimethyl carbonate, [4] epoxides [5] etc. ), which have broad prospects and more attractive in the future [6–7] .…”

“…Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have attracted great interests due to the fluorescent properties [1][2][3][4][5], as well as the significant applications, such as magnetism [6][7][8], gas adsorption and separation [9][10][11], sensors or detectors [12][13][14][15][16][17], proton conduction [18], etc. Lanthanide coordination polymers including lanthanide-organic frameworks, one of the important MOFs, are generally synthesized by hydrothermal methods which require high pressure and high temperature that has impeded scalable synthesis of lanthanide MOFs and their industrial utilization [19][20][21].…”
