Abstract: Background:Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a multisystem autoimmune disease. African ancestry is associated with an increased risk of Lupus Nephritis (LN). Anti-DNA autoantibodies play a major role in the development of LN and anti-Ro antibodies have also been implicated.
