A natural compound cyanidin, which is a type of anthocyanin present in pigmented leaves, fruits, and flowers; distributed widely in berries, apples, and oranges possess anticancer activities, thus curing various types of cancer such as breast, liver, lung, prostate, and thyroid cancer. The article provides an insight into the potential of using a single phytochemical, cyanidin to treat various cancer types including breast, liver, lung, prostate, and thyroid cancer. Information about cyanidin and its pharmacological impact on cancer was collected from books, scientific journals, and reports through electronic data search (Web of Science, Scifinder, PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, ACS, Science Direct, CNKI as well as Kew Plants of the Word Online) and library. Cyanidin produces its effects against cancer probably by inhibiting (RAS, MAPK) and activating (caspases‐3 and P‐38) innovative molecular pathways. It may cause cell cycle arrest, cell differentiation processes and changes in redox status which trigger the cytotoxic chemotherapeutic effects. However, it also optimizes the chemotherapeutic targets which are cancer cells less responsive to chemotherapy. Cancer is considered the most widely spread disease and cyanidin from natural origin provides an essential role in treatment of cancer by approaching various mechanistic pathways.

Thyroid cancer (TC) represents one of the most prevalent endocrine malignancies, with a rising incidence worldwide. Epigenetic alterations, which modify gene expression without altering the underlying DNA sequence, have garnered significant attention in recent years. Increasing evidence underscores the pivotal role of epigenetic modifications, including DNA methylation, RNA methylation, and histone methylation, in the pathogenesis of TC. This review provides a comprehensive overview of these reversible and environmentally influenced epigenetic modifications, highlighting their molecular mechanisms and functional roles in TC. Additionally, the clinical implications, challenges associated with studying these epigenetic modifications, and potential future research directions are explored. The activity of thyroid hormones is one of the key elements in the regulation of the organism’s adaptive reactions. The article presents an analysis of thyroid hormones’s action mechanism as the organism’s response to environmental stress. The purpose of the study is to specify the role of iodothyronines in the formation of the organism adaptive reactions. Material and methods. The literature analysis was performed using the PubMed, SpringerLink, eLibrary, GoogleScholar databases for relevant publications for the period 2015–2023. Results and discussion. The development of both hypo- and hyperthyroidism negatively affects the functioning of a number of organs and systems of the organism. The consequences of changes in the level of thyroid hormones in the form of hypo- and hyperthyroidism for the adaptive capabilities of the organism are characterized, and the possibilities of correcting adaptive reactions by regulating their level are analyzed. Conclusions. To date, it has been proven that thyroid hormones are actively involved in the expression of more than 100 genes, maintaining redox balance, as well as in many metabolic reactions, which affects the adaptive potential of the organism. At the same time, the development of both hypo- and hyperthyroidism negatively affects the functioning of a number of organs and systems of the organism. Therefore, for a person to successfully adapt to stressful environmental factors, it is advisable to correct the content of iodothyronines in the organism. Actively used hormonal support, despite proven effectiveness, has nevertheless a number of limitations regarding the potential harm of such therapy, as a result of which approaches to correcting the content of iodothyronines are currently being analyzed, in particular, through the nutritional intake of a number of vitamins and microelements, as well as through dosed physical activity.
