Time-lapse confocal calcium imaging in an intact unrolled hippocampus preparation

Abstract: The excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate (100 μM) induces intracellular calcium transients in cultured hippocampal astrocytes that can be imaged using the calcium indicator (Fluo3AM) and time-lapse microscopy.
