Academic grit and volition as predictors of hope among Faculty of Education students Abstract The present study aimed at investigating distinction/ nondistinction of academic grit from volition and contribution of academic grit and volition on hope among a sample of (450) male and female students in Faculty of Education, Benha University, (mean=19.2, std=0.85). The study tools consisted of academic grit scale prepared by (Porter, 2019) and translated by Hanaa Mohamed Zaki (2021), volitional components inventory-short version prepared by Kuhl & Fuhrmann (2004) and translated by the researcher, and Hope scale prepared by Snyder et al. (1991) and translated by Ahmed Mohamed Abdelkhalik (2004). The results indicated that academic grit is distinctive from volition. Some dimensions of academic grit and some volitional components predict hope.
