Abstract:Solid Ne condensed a t a temperature of 7 K is excited with a pulsed electron beam. The resulting emission spectra are recorded during the excitation pulse and in the time range from 0 to 2.3 ms after excitation. Relative contributions from the different vibrational levels are fitted t o the Nez emissions, measured a t various times after the excitation. A nearly constant contribution from the 0th vibrational level is found which can be explained by complete relaxation of the 0; excimer state. The degree of re… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
