Abstract:What Is the Issue?
Gonorrhea is the second most prevalent sexually transmitted infection in Canada. It is caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae and can be treated with antibiotic therapy. However, gonorrhoeae has developed antibiotic resistance, which may decrease the efficacy of current therapy.
