Abstract:The connection between inflammation and cancer has been well recognized at the epidemiological, biological, and pharmacological levels. Unresolved chronic inflammation is implicated in most stages of cancer development and thus can induce certain solid tumors. The molecular regulators of these linkages are emerging and should be well-decorticated. Toll-like receptors (TLRs) recognize pathogen/microbe-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs/MAMPs) and death–associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) secreted from dying… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
