TLR2-dependent eosinophil interactions with mycobacteria: role of α-defensins

Abstract: Peripheral blood and tissue eosinophilia are a prominent feature in allergic diseases and during helminth infections. Eosinophil recruitment also frequently occurs upon mycobacterial infections, particularly in lung granuloma.
