Abstract: Dental caries often causes pulp inflammation once it reaches the dentine. In deep caries, there are many kinds of bacterial components, such as lipopolysaccharide (LPS), that induce the production of proinflammatory mediators, including tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α.
