Abstract: BACKGROUND New WHO report Global atlas on cardiovascular disease prevention and control, 19 September 2011, states that coronary artery disease is the leading cause of death and disability in the world. Microalbuminuria may be a marker of generalised vascular disease with Arterial Endothelial Dysfunction being involved in the pathogenesis of atherothrombotic vascular disease.
