To Overcome the Effects of Self-Phase Modulation in Single-Tone RoF System by Employing SSP Compensation Technique

Abstract: Self-Phase Modulation affects the performance of Radio over Fiber (RoF) system by inducing spectral broadening of the transmitted pulse and thereby produces dispersion. This paper analyses the effects of SPM on optical pulse propagating through the fiber and proposed a SSP (symmetrical-symmetrical-post) compensation technique to overcome the effects of SPM in single-tone RoF system.
