Abstract: The European lantern fly, Dictyophara europaea (Linnaeus, 1767) (Insecta: Hemiptera: Dictyopharidae) is an abundant species in Eurasia and North Africa, inhabiting the grassy vegetation of open spaces, and does not have the status of a pest of agricultural plants.
