Top–down holographic G-structure glueball spectroscopy at (N)LO in N and finite coupling

Abstract: The top-down type IIB holographic dual of large-N thermal QCD as constructed in [1] involving a fluxed resolved warped deformed conifold, its delocalized type IIA SYZ mirror as well as its M-theory uplift constructed in [2] -both in the finite coupling (g s < ∼ 1)/'MQGP' limit of [2] -were shown explicitly to possess a local SU (3)/G 2 -structure in [3]. Glueballs spectra in the finite-gauge-coupling limit (and not just large-t'Hooft coupling limit) -a limit expected to be directly relevant to strongly coupled… Show more

“…In [16], we initiated top-down G-structure holographic large-N thermal QCD phenomenology at finite gauge coupling and finite number of colors, in particular from the vantage point of the M theory uplift of the delocalized SYZ type IIA mirror of the top-down UV complete holographic dual of large-N thermal QCD of [1], as constructed in [2]. We calculated up to (N)LO in N , masses of 0 ++ , 0 −− , 0 −+ , 1 ++ and 2 ++ glueballs, and found very good agreement with some of the lattice results on the same.…”

“…On the holographic phenomenology side, in [8], we computed the masses of the 0 ++ , 0 −+ , 0 −− , 1 ++ , 2 ++ 'glueball' states corresponding to fluctuations in the dilaton or complexified two-forms or appropriate metric components in the same aforementioned backgrounds. All these calculations were done both for a thermal background with an IR cut-off r 0 and a black hole background with horizon radius r h .…”

“…This is exactly where the mirror dual of the type IIB framework becomes handy. In fact, latticecompatible results pertaining to glueball spectroscopy were obtained in [101] and P(article)D(ata)G(roup)-compatible results pertaining to meson spectroscopy were obtained in [102], by working with the mirror dual.…”

“…The constant β appearing above is related to c i in (5.13) as β = c 1 = c 2 for simplicity 31 ; and m 0 ++ is the mass of the lightest glueball given via: 31) and parametrized by the scale m 0 . This is computed using M-theory metric perturbation, much like the analysis we had in section 5, and is further detailed in [101].…”
