Abstract: Purpose Oxidative stress, nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB) and adenosine signaling are factors associated with psoriatic inflammation. Topical delivery of methotrexate (MTX) has become an option to overcome the side effects caused by systemic therapy in psoriasis, leading to the suppression of NF-κB activation through boosting adenosine release.
