“…It is found that post-annealing does not apparently change the tendency of T m and T i with μ 0 H for the current single crystals . Their behavior with μ 0 H coincides with the other extreme magnetoresistance materials, such as LaX (X = Sb and Bi) , and WTe 2…”

“…Many binary compounds, such as ZrB 2 , LaX (X = Sb and Bi), , WTe 2 , , NbP, HfTe 2 , and Cd 3 As 2 , , have XMR effects. Subsequently, there are XMR effects in noncentrosymmetric ternary compounds, such as TaPdTe 5 and NbIrTe 4 . These discoveries have greatly enriched MR families.…”

“…Similar phenomenon has also been observed in PdTeI and A V 3 Sb 5 ( A = Rb and Cs). , The inset of Figure d plots the T -dependence of the anisotropy constant ρ b /ρ c . The most conducting direction is not along but perpendicular to the chain direction and anisotropic transport behaviors are manifested by ρ b : ρ c = 1.4:1 at 300 K, and 2.4:1 at 2 K. The slightly smaller anisotropy constant than other Q-1D materials, like layered ternary transition metal telluride, suggest the stronger interchain coupling in Ta 2 NiSe 7 . Besides, ρ( T ) in both directions for T < 45 K follows nicely a power-law behavior according to ρ = ρ 0 + AT α , where α is temperature exponent and ρ 0 is the residual resistivity.…”

“…Recently, quasi-1D ternary transition metal chalcogenides with similar prismatic chain structure centered on a transitional element atom have been paid special attention for fundamental studies of novel physical phenomena. For example, TaMTe 5 (M = Ni, Pd, Pt) are quasi-1D topological semimetals hosting highly anisotropic topological Dirac Fermions by analyzing the de Haas–van Alphen(dHvA) oscillations and anisotropic transport. M 2 Pd x X 5 (M = Nb, Ta; X = S, Se) have been paid special attention because of their extremely large H c2 , which can be ascribed to strong spin–orbit coupling or multiband effect. , Besides, many of them can be easily fabricated into nanowires due to their 1D-chain structure characteristics, leading to emergent phenomena such as dimension-controlled superconductor–insulator transition . Among these compounds, nickel-containing isochemical selenides have similar stoichiometric ratios but exhibit different properties.…”

“…[9,13] Similar anisotropic superconductivity is discovered in the quasi-1D structural analogs Ta 4 Pd 3 Te 16 [14] and Ta 3 Pd 3 Te 14 , [15] making the layered transition metal tellurides a promising platform for low-dimensional topological superconductors. Another family in ternary transition metal tellurides, Ta-based TaMTe 5 (M = Ni, Pd, Pt), [16][17][18][19][20][21][22] as layered 3D topological candidates hosting quasi-1D chains, further enrich the study of low-dimensional topology. The sister compounds TaNiTe 5 , [16][17][18][19][20] TaPdTe, [21] and TaPtTe 5 [22] have been experimentally synthesized and their significantly anisotropic features have been validated with magnetization and transport measurements.…”
