Topological transitions in fluid lipid vesicles: activation energy and force fields

Abstract: Topological transitions of fluid lipid membranes are fundamental processes for cell life. For ex- ample, they are required for endo- and exocytosis or to enable neurotransmitters to cross the neural synapses.
