Topology of protein interaction networks and cell physiology

Abstract: The first descriptions of large protein interaction networks have revealed unexpected topological properties that have been linked to various aspects of cell physiology. In this paper are reviewed the proposed connections between local or global features of protein networks and biological parameters like protein essentiality or mutational robustness.
