In this paper, utilizing the generalized off-shell Helmholtz free energy, we explore the topological numbers of the four-dimensional static accelerating black hole and its AdS extension, as well as the static charged accelerating black hole and its AdS extension. Our analysis reveals a profound and significant impact of the acceleration parameter on the topological numbers associated with the static black holes. In addition, we demonstrate that the electric charge parameter has an important effect on the topological number of the static neutral accelerating black holes. What is more, we also indicate that the cosmological constant has a remarkable influence on the topological number of the static accelerating black hole.

Recently, the investigation of the topological classes of black holes with two diﬀerent methods has attracted the attention of researchers with respect to the existence of critical points, which is an important structure in the phase diagram of a thermodynamic system. One of these methods the examination of the topological classes of black holes with the help of Duan’s topological current φ-mapping theory. Therefore, we consider three diﬀerent types of black holes, i.e., Hayward-AdS black holes, quintessential Hayward-AdS black holes, and AdS Hayward black holes in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity. Then we will explore their thermodynamic topological classes. The interesting point to note in our studies was that, unlike previous studies, all of our black holes have the same topological class, and the addition of quintessence or GB terms, etc., or dimensions do not change the topological numbers In the end, we compare the thermodynamic topological class of our black holes with other black holes investigated in the literature.

In this paper, we investigate, in the framework of the topological approach to black hole thermodynamics, using the generalized off-shell Helmholtz free energy, the topological numbers of the static multi-charge AdS black holes in four- and five-dimensional gauged supergravities. We find that the topological number of the static-charged AdS black holes in four-dimensional Kaluza-Klein (K-K) gauged supergravity theory is W = 0, while that of the static-charged AdS black holes in four-dimensional gauged –iX0X1-supergravity and STU gauged supergravity theories, and five-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton-axion (EMDA) gauged supergravity and STU gauged supergravity, and five-dimensional static-charged AdS Horowitz-Sen black hole are both W = 1. Furthermore, we observe a novel temperature-dependent thermodynamic topological phase transition that can happen in the four-dimensional static-charged AdS black hole in EMDA gauged supergravity theory, the four-dimensional static-charged AdS Horowitz-Sen black hole, and the five-dimensional static-charged AdS black hole in K-K gauged supergravity theory. We believe that the novel temperature-dependent thermodynamic topological phase transition could help us better understand black hole thermodynamics and, further, shed new light on the fundamental nature of gauged supergravity theories.
