Abstract:Multiphase permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) have attracted much more attention for their high efficiency, low torque ripple and good fault tolerance. However, open‐circuit fault results in asymmetrical motor behaviour, and deteriorates torque performance, especially dynamic response.
