Background. We sought to determine the long-term quality of life after repair of anomalous pulmonary venous drainage using the Short Form (SF)-36 questionnaire in adult survivors.Methods. All patients who underwent repair of partial or total anomalous pulmonary venous drainage (PAPVD or TAPVD) and were 18 years of age or older with a current contact number were identified from the hospital database. The mean age of the 101 patients was 26 ± 7 years (range, 18-49) old. Patients completed the SF-36 quality of life questionnaire via telephone. The results of the 8 domains of the SF-36 questionnaire and the derived health state summary score (SF-6-Dimension) were compared against an age-matched Australian population data.Results.
