Tourism Edupreneur: Pembinaan Wirausaha Seni untuk Wisata Pendidikan

Abstract

Children's dance and children's games as creative products developed by the groups of student entrepreneurs were the outcomes of the previous community service. However, the management of the products has not been optimal in terms of their presentation for children as their target audience. Therefore, the purpose of this community service program is to train and mentor students to build and manage their business in performing arts, teaching and learning children's dances to support the university program in developing educational tourism. This community service program used a project-based approach. The participants are seven undergraduate students from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) including an alumnus from UPI, and two master students in the arts education study program of UPI. The activities began with diagnosis, project design, implementation, and evaluation. Data was collected through participant observation, study documentation, and literature review. Analyzed data using triangulation. The result of the activities is establishing a new students' business profile, namely Projek Seni Anak Company or Prosean Co. implements the business canvas model. Prosean Co. manages and markets performing arts, teaching children dances through social media and virtual performance called Virevale in TV UPI Digital. In summary, Prosean Co. as a new group of student entrepreneurs succeed managing children's dance and children's games in the storyline and visual design to be appreciated by children.
